Wootton Park Wedding Photography

Becky & Rikky, 31st August 2017

Wootton Park

This August I had the pleasure of covering Becky & Rikky's wedding at the wonderful Wootton Park. It was my first time at the venue and it was a real pleasure to work there.

Set in 360 acres of Warwickshire countryside, Wootton Park boasts large grounds with the possibility of a lakeside ceremony if the weather holds out, which is did - just about - for Becky & Rikky. Although the attentive staff were on hand with a big bucket of umbrella's if they were needed.

Lakeside Ceremony

The morning started in the lovely old farmhouse for bride prep before Becky was walked over to the ceremony by her dad and accompanied by Wootton Parks' boss Melanie. The ceremony took place on the lakeside in a 'boat' which sits over the water. There was a heart-stopping moment when Rikky dropped the ring he was due to place on his bride's finger. Fortunately, the slats are too tight for anything to slip though, but there was an audible gasp before everyone erupted with laughter.

First Class food all day

There was a bouncy castle on hand for both small kids and big kids alike before the wedding breakfast was served. The food was amazing, easily the best BBQ I've had in along time. I do live the perks of this job.

Afternoon entertainment came in the form of a game of Mr and Mrs before the evening do started. The best man has a business selling cheesecake at events from his converted horse box and the excellent food continued as he delighted everyone by giving out free desserts during the evening reception.

If you’re having a wedding at Rodbaston Hall and would like your day photographed in a true documentary style like I did for Becky and Rikky, I'd love to hear from you.
