GAYNES PARK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Gaynes Park is a stylish and contemporary country wedding barn in the grounds of a historic estate in Epping, Essex. This picturesque venue is surrounded by British countryside made up of farmland and woodland, with the London skyline clearly in the distance. Given its secluded and tranquil setting, it is hard to believe that this superb, country wedding venue is at the end of the busy Central Line and only minutes from the M25 and M11. The amount of variety of spaces and backdrops that the venue offers makes being Gaynes Park Wedding Photography an absolute dream for a photographer.
When Emma & Stephen enquired I knew their plans for the day would be ideal for my documentary approach as they were both keen on a relaxed day without too much fuss for the formal side of things. Neither were caught up in the fairytail idea of a lavish wedding and just wanted a simple day spent in the company of their family & friends. They had planned for an outdoor ceremony and I was keeping my fingers crossed that the weather would be kind to us on the day, which luckily it was. The garden at Gaynes Park makes for a wonderful backdrop for a ceremony. Although we did have to make a dash for the Orangery for the drinks reception as the changeable weather decided to give us a light shower as the ceremony ended. Fortunately Gaynes Park has a great option for an indoor ceremony and drinks reception in their beautiful and spacious Orangery. With a glass roof and glass walls on three sides it lets in loads of natural light and feels like being outside which is great, as so many venues’ Plan B for wet days is a dimly lit room with limited or no natural light! One small detail from this wedding which I obviously loved as an owner of two black cats was the black cat present which was given as a subsittue for the more traditional lucky horseshoe after the cemremony by one of the younger guests. I am not one for those kinds of traditions, but the addition of a black cats into any wedding day is always welcome.
Emma & Stephen then had their wedding breakfast in the Mill Barn. They opted to have the lights stretching across the room above the tables which looks great and really adds the vibe. After more drinks in the garden as the sun set it was back into the Mill Barn for a balloon release with their cake cut (actually just each taking a bite from their croquembouche which they had a substitute for a cake) before the evening party kicked off.
Below is a selection of images from their day. If you would like me to capture your Gaynes Park wedding photography in the same relaxed storytelling style I have done for Emma & Stephen please get in touch.
PICTURE PERFECT VENUE
The expansive layout makes being a Gaynes Park wedding photographer a real pleasure. From the Apple Loft for morning prep through to the Orangery, the Mill Barn and the various outside spaces Gaynes Park is a stunning venue. Lots of venues have a unique feature, but none are as remarkable as the view of the London Skyline which Gaynes Park offers. The perfect place to get married and spend the day celebrating with your family & friends.
