Being a Redhouse Barn wedding photographer has been one of the highlights of my photography career so far. Combining traditional vintage style and contemporary design, Redhouse Barn is a stunning rural venue set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. These barns nestle in 5 acres of grounds and beautiful mature romantic gardens. I used to live in the village of Stoke Prior so it was just 3 minute drive from me which was nice and convenient! And while I now live nearly a 2 hour drive away, I still love going back to shoot there, as I did on my last visit for Tori & Alex’s Christmas wedding in Dec 2019. I don’t charge any extra for travel costs, as I love shooting across the UK, and the Redhouse Barn is one venue I love to return to.
Redhouse Barn Wedding Photography
The Redhouse Barn is a multi-award winning venue and their coordinators are some of the best I’ve worked. Having such attentive staff is an important aspect of any wedding and it really helps the day run smoothly, meaning the couple and their guests are completely relaxed. This is perfect for my style of photography. I don’t like to involved in the running of the day, or staging shots, or taking long portrait sessions. I’m there to document the story of your day through natural imagery, so you can relive your wedding day in the years to come and really feel what is was like to be there.
50 Natural Redhouse Barn wedding photographs
It’s been areal pleasure to be a Redhouse Barn wedding photographer over the past few years. Here are 50 of my favourite pictures from a truly fanatic venue.
Redhouse Barn Weddings
Beautifully designed for exclusive-use weddings, the Redhouse Barn cater for Civil Ceremonies up to 105 guests in a charming 200 year old Redbrick Barn and up to 160 guests in their magnificent main Timber Barn.
Mornings start in the Redhouse Barns’ upstairs bridal prep room. Access is from 7am, meaning you can chill out here all morning and not have to worry about the logistics of travel from prep to ceremony – it’s just a 30 seconds walk downstairs!
The Redbrick Barn provides a perfect setting for your ceremony. Dating back to 1779 , floor to ceiling sliding doors provide beautiful backdrops of the gardens on one side and the front courtyard on the other. On warm days with the doors open, its like having your wedding in the garden itself! On cold winter days, the underfloor heating provides a cosy warmth that radiates throughout the Barns. Two layout options are available for the Redbrick Barn: traditional ‘gable end’ layout with central aisle leading to the end of the Barn and a beautiful central layout. Meaning you can customise your ceremony to your requirements.
Garden Games
The rear courtyard provides a relaxed and informal feel for drinks reception and musicians. With Giant garden games such as Jenga, Connect4, soft football or perhaps croquet or boules on the play lawn, there is plenty to keep the more active guests and little ones (and your photographer!) entertained for hours.
Award Winning Catering
The wedding breakfast took place inside the Timber framed Barn. The larger of the two barns, it’s an ideal room for the meal with high airy ceiling and large windows which can be opened on hot days. I love photographing speeches in this room! Flooded by natural daylight the light reflects around the room and makes it a wedding photographer’s paradise.
Guests enjoyed food from Morgan’s Catering, who are used exclusively by the Redhouse Barn. One of the perks of my job is sampling food from a variety of wedding venues and Morgan’s food is second to none. They have won The Food Industry Awards ‘Best Caterer’ every year from 2014 to 2017.
In the evening the Timberframed Barn doubles as the dance floor. The Redhouse Barn has one of the best dance floors around. The floor lights up with small LEDs and the in-house lighting & sound system is a class apart from most venues which sets the scene for a great nights entertainment.
I love being a Redhouse Barn Wedding Photographer, a well run venue with excellent staff, first class food and idyllic countryside surroundings, there really aren’t many venues that can rival this one. If you would like your wedding at The Redhouse Barn photographed in the same documentary style as I have done from my previous couples please get in touch.
