WORCESTERSHIRE WEDDINGS – TIPI WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Warm cloudy days are my favourite conditions to photograph a wedding and the weather for Grace & Richard’s Tipi wedding in May 2019 did not disappoint. Set up on Grace’s family farm near Pershore in rural Worcestershire, the tipi was big enough to hold 150 guests and was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful day. Both families are local farmers which meant there was an obvious theme for the day.
Below are a selection of images from the day.
Natural & relaxed tipi wedding photography without posing.
Grace’s morning started in a local holiday home she had hired for her and her bridesmaids to stay in the night before the big day, while Richard got ready at his parents’ farm house. With it being a bigger wedding, the couple had opted for a 2nd photographer to shoot with me on the day, something I recommend for weddings of their size. Connor is always my first choice to 2nd shoot for me. He spent the morning with Richard & his groomsmen while I was with Grace and her bridesmaids.
The ceremony took place at the nearby St Peter’s Church in Inkberrow before everyone headed over to the tipi set up in one the their fields. The newlyweds arrived for the reception on a 100 year old trailer towed by a 60 year old tractor which is definitely one of the most spectacular (and slowest!) entrances I’ve seen a couple make.
Guests took advantage of the warm weather and mingled outside while listening to live music.
The evening party was one of the best I’ve seen, it turns out the farming community really knows how to party. Who knew!?
TIPI WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I loved photographing this Tipi wedding. It was a perfect wedding for a documentary photographer to capture as Grace and Richard wanted to spend time with their family and friends and not have lots of staged photographs.
Tipis are ideal for couples who want to style their day to their own specific requirements.
Thanks to Connor McClelland for 2nd shooting with me at this wedding. He spent the morning with Richard and was able to capture some additional angles during the ceremony and speeches. A 2nd shooter is ideal for larger weddings like this one where there so much is going on.
You can get in touch with me to find out more about my documentary style and to see if I’m available on your date.
