BIRTSMORTON COURT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Birtsmorton Court is one of the most picturesque wedding venues I’ve had the pleasure of working at. A Grade 1 listed, exclusive-use wedding venue set within 350 acres of private estate in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The amount of variety of spaces and backdrops that the venue offers makes Birtsmorton Court Wedding Photography an absolute dream for a photographer.
I first shot there in May 2019 and was delighted to return for Otto & Patrick’s wedding in September 2022. Otto & Patrick had planned for an outdoor ceremony in the White Garden. I’d shot the ceremony there on my previous visit and was delighted to get the chance to photograph there again. With its decorative pergola, fountain and fragrant white flowers, the White Garden is ideal for a relaxed outdoor ceremony and I was keeping my fingers crossed that the weather would be kind to us on the day.
Celebrant-led wedding ceremony
The ceremony was led by Rosina, a celebrant. Couples who choose celebrant-led weddings often do so to make their wedding ceremony more reflective of who they are, and how they want their union to be. A celebrant officiating a wedding can lead a vastly different role than what we are used to with priests and registrars.
For a photographer it’s ideal as without the rules that are often imposed on us by registrars or vicars we have the freedom to move around more and capture a more diverse set of images. Which is ideal in a setting such as the White Garden at Birtsmorton Court which has so much room. During the ceremony they had a ring warming. A ring warming ceremony is a tradition that involves passing around the wedding bands to guests. Upon receiving the rings, guests “warm” them up with a prayer, good wishes, or positive vibes for the couple’s future together. I’ve seen this three times over the past 18 months and it’s a great way to include your guests in the wedding ceremony.
Below is a selection of images from their day. If you would like me to capture your Birtsmorton Court wedding photography in the same relaxed storytelling style I have done for Otto & Partick please get in touch.
“You perfectly nailed being personable, unobtrusive, timely and helped us to remember and relive how happy the day made us – Thank you.”
– Otto & Patrick

The expansive layout makes being a Birtsmorton Court wedding photographer a real pleasure. There is the main manor house with its moat and terrace. A separate large lake, two options for outside ceremonies and two large apartments for morning prep. The marquee for the wedding breakfast (soon to be turned into a solid wooden structure) and the large Garden Room for the evening party There’s access to a field which offers great options for sunset shots. Everywhere you look at Birtsmorton Court there’s a stunning backdrop which looks great in photographs. There is also overnight accommodation for up to 16 guests.
